The Eleventh International Conference ‘National Theatre in the Context of Multinational Culture’ was held on 26-27 November 2019 under the centenary banner of the State Jewish Theatre (GOSET), which has received recognition not only in Russia, but abroad, and whose history is connected with the name Solomon Mikhoels.
The collection of articles includes materials from Russian and foreign researchers who for many years have been studying the history of national theatres, the staging of plays in foreign theatres, the work of actors from different countries, and the fate of repressed actors, which are reflected in library and archival collections and documents. A number of articles are devoted to the life and work of the great actor and director Solomon Mikhoels.
The illustrative portion of the collection includes unique, never before published materials.
