On 16 April 2021, Playwright Dmitry Danilov Presented His Collection of Plays

The collection of plays by Dmitry Danilov, A Man from Podolsk and Other Plays, was published by Gorodets in 2020. Fans of modern drama could not only purchase a book during the evening at the Russian State Arts Library (RSAL), but could also ask the playwright questions and immerse themselves in his creativity.

Dmitry Danilov is one of Russia’s most popular playwrights, and Russian theatres have shown more than 60 performances based on his plays, A Man from Podolsk, Seryozha Is Very Stupid, Testimony, The Way to the Heart, Choose Three, and What Did You Do Yesterday Evening?

The playwright said that he was very lucky with his play’s first director, Mikhail Ugarov. Of modern directors, he highlighted the performances of Alexei Kuzmin-Tarasov’s Seryozha Is Very Stupid, The Way to the Heart in Pyotr Fomenko’s Workshop, and Mikhail Bychkov’s A Man from Podolsk in Priut komedianta (the Shelter for Comedians theatre).

At the close of the evening, all who wished could obtain a signed collection of the plays from the author; and Dmitry Danilov made his first donation to RSAL.
