The second meeting of the Postcard Lovers Club of Moscow was dedicated to the World War I and its reflection in postcards.
The members and the guests of the Club paid much interest to the presentation “Postcards of the Skobelev Committee of 1914-1917” by Sofya Chorbachidi, postgraduate researcher of the Moscow State University of Printing Arts named after Ivan Fedorov.
The participants of the meeting made a point of the presentation emphasizing the lack of studies on the subjects and also expressed their wish to publish the materials of the presentation in specialized editions. The collectors expressed their strong desire to have a catalogue of charity postcards that were issued by the Skobelev Committee prepared and published.
The next meeting of the Postcard Lovers Club of Moscow at the Russian State Art Library will be held in September 2014.
