The Russian State Art Library, November 21st, 2013 – the presentation of the monograph “The Phenomenon of Artist’s Book”.
The author of the monograph, Mikhail Pogarsky, artist and art theorist, curator of many modern art projects, noted: “Having been working with Artist’s Book, for almost 20 years, I have organized numerous exhibitions and art projects and discussed various problems and questions concerning it, gave lectures and workshops, I have become strongly convinced in relevance of a diversified book that would deal with Artist’s Book, studying it from all points. Now such kind of book is finished and ready”.
The present research is the first monograph ever published in Russia that covers the problematics of Artist’s Book.
Ada Kolganova, the Director of the Library, and Vitaly Patsyukov, the well-known modern art curator, also given speeches at the presentation.
